Cell Culture Process Development Bioprocess Engineer/Associate
Job Summary:
Are you eager to develop cell culture processes for mammalian stable cell lines producing protein therapeutic drugs and scaling up from 2L bench scale to 200L scale? Zyngenia has laboratory-based positions in our Protein Sciences Group. Candidates will participate in cell line development, develop and optimize robust, efficient and scalable cell culture processes. Additional responsibilities may include performing protein purification and standard analytical techniques. The successful candidates must have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary laboratory environment.
Job Duties:
Actively participate in all activities related to cell line development, transfection, generation of stable pools and subclones. Optimization of cell culture media and bioreactor conditions for protein production. Preference will be given to candidates with specific expertise in mAb production and recovery. Expansion of cell lines in shake flasks. Generation analysis and characterization of stable cell lines for protein production. Perform protein purification Maintenance of accurate lab notebooks and ability to analyze, interpret, and present data in group meetings Maintenance of accurate lab notebooks and ability to analyze, interpret, and present data in group meetings Characterization of proteins utilizing standard analytical techniques including SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and IEF. Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/MS degree in biological, chemical sciences with 2-6 years of relevant pharamaceutical or biologics process development Demonstrated experience with standard aseptic techniques Demonstrated experience in cell line development and cell culture processes with particular focus on bioreactor-based cell culturing. Expertise in development and optimization of protein purification processes. Successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team and independently under general supervision.
Research Associates
We are seeking several highly motivated individuals at the research associate level with 1-2 years lab experience. Successful candidates must work productively in a team environment and be willing to meet aggressive timelines. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in mammalian cell culture, cell-based bioassays, ELISA technologies, phage-display techniques and protein expression/purification. The fast-paced environment requires candidates to have strong analytical skills and a willingness to adapt to changing corporate needs.
